Meet Kyle CERTIFIED CHILD SLEEP CONSULTANT
Hello, and I see you, tired families! My name is Kyle Mlasko and I am a mama of a 2-year-old, married to my high school sweetheart, and dog mama to a crazy German Shorthaired Pointer. My family and I live in Vancouver, Washington. A West Coast girl through and through - born in California, and raised in Oregon, before making my way to Washington.
My Journey To Sleep Consulting
I am a trained educator having worked in elementary school settings for a decade before becoming a sleep consultant. My degree is in Early Childhood Development and Education and I worked in Kindergarten, 2nd, and 3rd-grade classrooms.
I am passionate about helping children and families succeed to meet their goals. In that line of work, I felt very comfortable partnering with parents to support their children, and I take the same approach as a sleep consultant. Families know their children best and I walk beside them to figure out the most effective approach to solve their sleep problems.
I am a firm believer that families have to choose what works for them, and that they do their best in the process of parenting. In my role as a sleep consultant, I am here to help when families know they need support to get healthier sleep.
Why I Became a Sleep Consultant
Soon after my son was born, I was diagnosed with severe postpartum depression and anxiety. The loss of sleep in the newborn phase did nothing to help my diagnosis. I became unhealthily obsessed with my son’s sleep because I thought if I could get him to sleep more, I would sleep more and feel better.
When my son was 5 months old we sleep trained him with the help of a sleep consultant. It completely changed my life for the better. My symptoms dramatically decreased and I felt like a new person; one who could enjoy being a mother for the very first time. I became a sleep consultant because I wanted to impact families' lives the way mine was positively impacted.
After struggling on our own for the first 11 months of our son's life, we finally reached out for help and found Bella Luna. We elected the 2-week process and found that most of our sleep issues were resolved within the first week. Our whole family is getting restorative sleep now. My only regret is that we didn't reach out sooner! Thank you, Kyle and the Bella Luna Family for the support and for empowering us to help our son learn to sleep (and for gently showing us how we as parents were stuck in our habits and patterns that were preventing him from doing what he was fully capable of doing!)

Kyle worked with us to help improve our six-months-old's sleeping habits. Before implementing any sort of sleep training methods, our son was sleeping in our room and waking every two hours during the night... Something had to change because our family needed more sleep!
Thanks to the combination of Kyle's knowledge, communication skills, availability/involvement, and flexibility, we felt an immense amount of support throughout the entire sleep training process. The personalized sleep training plan - which was customized to fit our family's needs - allowed us to have a clear idea of what to do in order to be successful with this process!
With Kyle's help, we are able to see a positive change in our son's sleeping habits and he is already successful in sleeping in his own room AND getting longer stretches of sleep! We are so thankful for the amazing service Kyle has provided to us.

I'm so grateful for the help of Kyle from Bella Luna. She went above and beyond to help me. I was spinning my wheels trying to sleep train on my own and it just wasn't working. With Kyle's help, I learned so much, I was able to get my baby on a good sleep schedule (nap and bed), and now I feel confident in my ability to adjust my baby's sleep schedule as she gets older.
