Our 9 month old baby, was waking up around 8 or 10 pm and then every hour or two until 4am. We both work full time and we were so exhausted and didn't know what to do. We had talked to our pediatrician team about it several times, but they didn't have any solutions.
Christine identified pretty quickly his main problem of being over tired and gave us some great advice to help him sleep more so he would sleep longer. Some of it was hard to do for us personally with our work schedules, but we followed her advice and the results were fantastic!

Will there be tears?
This is one of the most common questions that I get from parents...
The short answer is yes, unfortunately. Even with the most gentle sleep training methods.
What happens is that babies and children don't like change. When we are implementing the sleep plan, your little one will be upset with the changes we are making, while they are learning. It's almost like they are saying "this isn't how we do things!"
Crying is challenging for us as parents because we love our babies so much and it is difficult to hear them upset. The thought of crying is the hardest part of sleep training for most parents. This is why I started Bella Luna Family. We are here to support families so they don't have to go through this process alone. Sleep training can be challenging, but it is much easier with the right plan and support, which is what we offer!
The good part is that as your baby adjusts to the changes, becomes better rested, and develops independent sleep skills, the protesting will lessen, and sleep will become easier - for everyone. Your baby happily settling to sleep will be the new norm and that's a beautiful thing!
