When I first reached out to Christine, I was operating on 3 hours of sleep a night. My then 5-month old little man was taking unpredictable naps and waking every 1-2 hours all night long. We’ve struggled for years with our son’s poor sleep habits, so when our daughter was born we hoped things would be different and at first they were. She was an incredible sleeper right off the bat, often sleeping 6 to 8 hour stretches at night. Then, at around 3 1/2 months she started waking constantly and rocking/feeding back to sleep wasn’t working. We were exhausted, frustrated and afraid we were in for years of sleepless nights. She patiently explained how we would teach our daughter to nap in her crib and sleep through the night with only one to two night feedings. Next, we received a detailed sleep plan and two weeks of text/email support. The texting was so helpful because we were able to make real-time adjustments and get comforting words during the times when our daughter was still learning to settle herself. After a few days on Christine’s plan our daughter adjusted to naps in her crib and was/is sleeping from 6 pm - 6 am. She still has two feedings (as she is only 5 months old). Hiring Christine was one of the best decisions I have ever made. We never could have sleep trained our twins without her. I would’ve caved on night 1! Christine Brown has given my family the gift of sleep. It is amazing the difference between no sleep, a little sleep and A LOT of sleep. At around 4.5 months, my previously great sleeper caught the horrible RSV bug and unfortunately, we allowed for some bad sleep associations to happen during this time. I knew that it would probably come back to bite me in the butt, but as a full time working momma, I needed whatever sleep he’d give me. By the time, he was 6 months old he began waking up about 3-4 times in the night and honestly not even eating would help. He was super tired…we were ALL exhausted!!! So, I reached out to my friend and asked what she did…and she recommended Christine. I called her the next day! My husband thought we could do the whole sleep training thing on our own, but I just couldn’t read any more books on the subject. I just needed help! I never thought I'd hire a sleep consultant for a 3rd child. I'm supposed to have all of this figured out by now, right?! But for seven months, my little dude never slept more than 45 minutes at a time. Ever. We co-slept so I could nurse him all night long because who wants to walk down the hall 15 times each night?? Christine helped us develop a comprehensive sleep plan that now has him sleeping 12 hours straight in his own crib in his own room. Our baby was 8 months and “sleeping” in a co-sleeper beside our bed. She was waking up every few minutes and we were giving her a pacifier or milk. We were not sleeping. Christine is absolutely AMAZING! She was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. During the home visit, she took the time to get to know us and our son, as well as our living style. After her visit, Christine promptly provided a detailed sleep plan, most of which we had discussed in person so there were no surprises. Christine's support the two weeks after was critical as we, of course, had questions as we began the process. She responded promptly, with the answers as well as the needed encouragement. Prior to Christine's assistance, our son woke up every 2-3 hours at nighttime and had strongly resisted napping in his crib (which we resorted to the car seat or swing to get him to nap). With all of that said, the process was a HUGE success, and our son slept through the night after the second night! AMAZING! We are coming upon a month since Christine's initial visit, and our son is now a sound sleeper at night, as well as his naptimes. And mom and dad are getting a full night's sleep as well. Because of Christine and her guidance, we have a happy, well-rested home!

When I initially reached out to Christine, my son was about 6.5-months-old was still nursing every 2 hours throughout the night and these naps were unreliable in terms of the time of day he’d go down and he usually only stayed asleep for about 20-45 minutes.  I had come across information online regarding the amount of sleep he should be getting for his age and I became worried that he was falling way short! I started to do some research and understand the importance of bedtimes routines, giving him an earlier bedtime and breaking the dependence on nursing to sleep.  However, I had a tremendous fear of using any type of “Cry It Out Method” and made my own attempts to use a Pick Up/Put Down Method. My attempts to remedy the situation just resulted in bedtimes becoming a cry-fest for at least an hour before I gave in and decided to nurse him to sleep anyway. At this point, I was feeling very guilty and confused.

Christine was EXTREMELY patient and giving of her time with me!  In the end, I joked with her that I was the “never-ending client”!  Many things came up between the start of our time together and the conclusion of our work including teething, illness, and feeding issues.

I had to work through so many of my own fears, but she was patient and supportive-giving me the time I needed to be ok with the process so that when I went into it, I had the best shot of being consistent with my chosen method.

Throughout the process, she was a cheerleader and a guide.  My son’s situation was a challenging one and he had such a large sleep debt built up, we had to troubleshoot different things along the way.  There’s no way I could’ve gone through this process without guidance and support. We were in touch multiple times a day and I never felt like I was floundering to have to figure out how to interpret the sleep plan on my own.  She went above and beyond to help make sure things were sorted out with my son’s sleep patterns before we ended the training period.

I quickly gained balance back in my life and my son is sleeping sooooo much better! He sleeps through the night and also gets all his naptime needs to be met during the day!  I feel like I definitely did the right thing by him to give him the time and space he needed to learn to self-soothe. I was so afraid to let him cry for any length of time, but on the first night, he was asleep within 30 minutes!

Making the investment in sleep training with Christine was well worth the money and it taught me so much about sleep science.  I fully believe this was the biggest gift I could’ve given him for his happiness and development. My heart goes out to all the babies who are struggling to get their needs met and to the mom’s whose messages I read about their children being poor sleepers.  I’m convinced that self-soothing is a skill babies can learn and any child can make successful improvements to their sleep schedule with the help and guidance of Christine. Christine found her calling! I contacted her when my daughter hit 8 months old and was still waking 1-2 times a night and most of the time needing a bottle to go back to sleep. Words cannot express how grateful I am for Bella Luna! Our little guy was never a great sleeper. My husband and I kept saying “he’ll sleep when he feels better” and “he’ll sleep once he feels full all night” and so on and so forth, but at 8 months, we were out of excuses. Life-changing! Christine helped my whole family. My daughter is now a happy girl who knows how to sleep! Christine helped navigate us through so many obstacles during our time with her, from multiple sleep crutches to developmental milestones, to teething! She is amazing! I was at the end of my rope when I found Christine. My baby wouldn't go to sleep before 11, and wouldn't sleep unless I was holding him. Honestly, he wanted to me to hold him all of the time. Most of the time He wouldn't let anyone else (including my husband) put me to bed, and then we had to co-sleep. I was losing my mind. Christine at Bella Luna Sleep Consulting saved our sanity and probably our marriage! Our baby, Sebastian, at 9 months was waking up around 8 or 10 pm and then every hour or two until 4 am. We both work full time and we were so exhausted and didn't know what to do. Since this was our second baby and we had no sleep problems with our first, we weren't sure what we were doing wrong. We had talked to our pediatrician team about it several times, but they didn't have any solutions.

Christine identified pretty quickly his main problem of being overtired and gave us some great advice to help him sleep more so he would sleep longer. Some of it was hard to do for us personally with our work schedules, but we followed her advice and the results were fantastic!

We had several false starts: I got the flu, then everyone got the flu. Sebastian started sleeping longer, only getting up 2 or 3 times a night with just a few of her changes. Once we all recovered from the flu, and we finally started the official sleep training, it was amazing: He slept 12 hours straight without a peep on night 3!!! Not every night was like that, but we felt so much better!!! Then Sebastian got an ear infection a week later. Christine was also again very accommodating and was flexible with her support time with us, and helped us manage that obstacle. Even with an ear infection, he only got up once or twice. Now, after our contract with her has been completed, he sleeps through the night, or just wakes up once or a little early in the morning, but if he wakes up early, he just hangs out quietly in his crib until it's time to get up.

Christine is not only a sleep consultant but a cheerleader when you need it! She is full of knowledge and full of hope! I was so reluctant to ask for help to help my little man sleep...I thought sleep was just something that happened! But I so needed the help! My little man, Elliott, was severely colic when he was born, hated being put down, could not lay down after he ate due to throwing up and needed to be in my arms ALL the time! We resorted to co-sleeping just to get any sleep, but that ended up causing more problems and more attachment issues. We had to rock Elliott to get him to sleep, and then he would only nap 30 minutes at a time. We are so glad that we decided to have Christine work with us! We only wish we had found her sooner. She took the time to learn about our family, our child's sleeping environment, our typical schedule/routine, and took all of that into account when determining what sleep training approaches would make sense for our child.
